SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
White paper
Tape
Flashlight
Pencils or markers
Black construction paper
White crayon or colored pencil
Scissors
Colored construction paper
Glue
Directions:
1. Divide the children into groups of three.
2. Instruct each group to tape a piece of white paper to the wall.
3. Have one of the children turn sideways in front of the paper.
4. Have another child hold a flashlight so that the child standing against the wall is silhouetted in shadow on the paper.
5. Help the third child trace the silhouette onto the white paper.
6. Have each group repeat these steps, until each child has a silhouette of himself or herself.
7. Give each child his or her own silhouette to trace onto the black paper with the white crayon.
8. Help the children cut out their silhouettes and glue them onto the colored construction paper.
9. Hang the silhouettes around the room and have the children figure out who is who.
10. Let the children take their silhouettes home with them.
