Children's Activity
Object:
Teachers or Parents: Our children should learn the true meaning
and importance of Easter as soon as possible. Easter Sunday is
certainly an opportunity to teach them about the resurrection. We
want them not only to know what took place on that first Easter,
but also we want them to know what it means to them, personally.
*Have each child write a one sentence response to the
question, "What Does Easter Mean to Me?" Have them read and
discuss their statements, and lead the discussion to emphasize
the fact that the resurrection of Jesus gives us the promise of
our own resurrection. With younger children, you can do the same
thing orally instead of in writing.
Sunday school assembly opening:
*Point out and discuss any of the Easter symbols that are
displayed in the church. Tell them how each represents Easter.
