THE ROMANCE OF PREACHING
I was ten when I first got an inkling that someday I might wind up as a preacher. Our Iowa newspaper carried Ripley's "Believe It Or Not" as a daily feature in a lower corner of the comic page. And, to my considerable amazement, one night I found there "Arch Angell," my father's name. I knew the family name "Angell" usually seemed good for a smile, but putting "Arch" with "Angell" hadn't seemed to me uproariously odd or funny.
