Life Can Be Fragile
The conies are but a feeble folk, yet they make their houses among the rocks (Proverbs 30:26 KJV).
The coney, also known as the rock hyrax or the rock badger, weighs about seven pounds. It is about the same shape as a prairie dog with a thick gray brown body and short sturdy legs. Its toes are connected with folds of skin and the soles of its feet are equipped with pads kept moist by special glands. These result in natural "suction cups" that enable the coney to climb the steepest and most slippery rock surfaces.
