One woman found a particularly effective method of dealing with her husband when she feels he is treating her in an inappropriate way. She takes a twofold approach. First, she lifts up her husband in prayer, asking God to bless him in every way. She knows that if he is to be truly blessed he must be in a right relationship with her as well as with God.
Secondly, she is completely honest with him and tells him how she is feeling. She found that if she takes these steps in this order, God works on her husband's heart and mind long before she talks to him. More often than not, he readily responds to her and the relationship is mended.
Esther took a similar approach in speaking to her husband, the king.
