Verse 22 is an interesting switch. "Do not rob the poor because they are poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate." Here is a call for equal justice. There is an old English ditty that states the sad case.
"The law locks up both man and boy
who steals the goose from off the
common;
but lets the greater felon loose,
who steals the common from under
the goose."
"Some men will rob you with a gun and some will rob you with a fountain pen." (Woody Guthrie)
What about red-lining -- markets whose inner city prices are often higher -- scams directed at the elderly -- structures of prejudice that rob others of opportunity? You can think of some more ways to rob the poor and crush the afflicted.
