Salvation
Commentary
Easter is more than a story of the only man in history who was raised from the dead. It is a validation of the power of God to offer the gift of salvation. Little wonder Paul declares to the Corinthians, "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins."
Easter is the assurance of salvation because it is the demonstration of the power of God to overcome the power of sin as well as the powers of death in life and the power of death over life.
