Emphasis Preaching Journal

This passage from Numbers is often used to illustrate the doctrine of the Priesthood of All Believers. Moses stated that he wished all God's people could be prophets and preachers. Perhaps the words of P.T. Forsyth should be re-emphasized. "The one great preacher in history, I would contend, is the Church. And the first business of the individual preacher is to enable the Church to preach ... He (she) is to preach to the Church from the Gospel so that with the Church he (she) may preach the Gospel to the world.
