A marriage and family counselor once told me that there are at least three solutions to every problem. "Usually, there are more," she said, "but there are always at least three." Even deep faith does not protect us from life and its perils. This is nothing new. However, our response, our willingness to entertain the notion that there are various options available to us (perhaps not the magic fix or what we want most) is the exemplary use of our faith which opens us to God's grace.
