He is the image of...

Object:
He is the image of the invisible God. The word used for "image" here is the same word
used to describe the imprint on a coin. In the process of stamping a coin, the coin takes on
the exact image of the die used to produce it. Coin collectors know that coins can be
made more valuable by minor imperfections in the die which, before caught and fixed by
the producer, translate into unique and unusual coins. The 1955 Ben Franklin half dollar,
due to an error in the stamping process, produced a Ben Franklin with protruding teeth
and is known as the "Bugs Bunny" Franklin. Attempts to fix that problem created
additional problems, because every aspect of the die translates directly onto the coin.
Jesus is not merely the likeness of God or a good representation of God. He is the actual
imprint (stamp) of God and therefore bears God's very image.
