GethsemaneIn the garden...

Gethsemane
In the garden that night, Jesus prayed,
"Not my will, but yours be done."
In the garden, he was betrayed
by a friend, for a paltry sum.
In the garden, his body was laid
to rest in a stone-closed tomb.
In the garden, Pilate's soldiers stayed,
standing guard through the night's deep gloom.
In the garden, the stone rolled away,
as the earth trembled with dawn.
In the garden, two women, afraid,
were told, "He's not here! He is gone!"
In the garden, they stood amazed,
then ran to tell the eleven,
"In the garden, where Jesus was
laid ...
He's no longer there! He is risen!"
