Even as children we learn to pick the right time. If we get a home run in baseball, don't tell the family when everybody is racing about, preoccupied, paying no attention. Wait until dinner. If we put a nick in the family automobile, by all means share the bleak news, but share it when Mom's or Dad's face is relaxed, not already wearing a scowl. Pick the right time and others will hear. Pick the wrong time and they may not catch a word. Or, what can be worse, they will catch the words but not the feelings which lie beneath them.
