The 2nd Space Operations Squadron...

The 2nd Space Operations Squadron of the 50th Space Wing of the U. S. Air Force, (stationed at Shriever Air Force Base near Colorado Springs), controls the Global Positioning System. They do this with the help of nearly a dozen cesium clocks and three hydrogen maser oscillators, which were originally created to test Einstein's theory of relativity. Twenty-four satellites, along with four spares, circle the planet twice daily, assuring that eight satellites are always in range of any position on the globe. Within a few years, federal law will require every cell phone, quartz watch, and laptop computer to be embedded with a tiny G.P.S. receiver. It will be possible for emergency personnel to find anyone in America who calls 911. Already, a G.P.S. unit in a car can direct you through traffic to any destination. Outdoors people can find their way in the most remote regions. And, a signal to your account will deduct your toll at a booth on the turnpike.
Thinking of Jesus as the Good Shepherd may not seem as relevant in the twenty-first century as having a good G.P.S. unit, but he will be with you wherever you go, guide you so that you will never be lost, and care for you and love you as no gadget can. He has even given his life for you so that you will never perish in the age to come. He is very good in every respect.
