O God of Truth, your Word has reached us through the
mouths of your prophets, the pen of your scribes, and
the witness of your faithful community down through

May your Word be written on our hearts and spring
forth from our mouths.
May it become alive in our acts of love,
of caring for the weak and powerless,
of healing broken relationships and broken hearts.
May your Word become the foundation for our words,
our thoughts,
our conversations,
our concerns.
May the good news which we have heard be shared with
