Why I Am A Lutheran

Lest we lose our perspective, I want to begin with an anecdote. There is a town in Norway named H--E--L--L, Hell. Because of its unusual name this town draws many tourists. A while back a Lutheran couple from Georgia visited there and sent a postcard home to their pastor. This cleric drew much laughter when he read that card to the local ministerial association. "Dear pastor," it said, "we passed through Hell today, and we're concerned. Almost everyone here seems to be Lutheran."
