Some years ago, a famous Canadian ice skater, Barbara Ann Scott, won the highest honor a skater can have: she was a winner at the Olympics.
Someone was talking with her mother about how lucky Barbara had been to win. She asked, "How much did she practice?" The mother answered, "Barbara has spent 20,000 hours on her skates practicing during the last ten years!"
