It is a striking fact that God has different ideas from us on how to accomplish a difficult task. We usually will say, "It can't be done," or, "We are not trained for that," or some other excuse.
When God told Moses what he wanted him to do -- go to Egypt and make Pharaoh set free the children of Israel -- Moses made excuses not to go, as we do. After several excuses were given, God used a shepherd's rod to teach Moses a vital lesson.
