Call to Worship
Pastor:
God has so wonderfully expressed himself through the grace of his Son, Jesus.
People:
It is through the grace of Jesus that we experience the love which God our Father gives so freely.
Pastor:
And this experience of God's love unites us with one another in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit!
People:
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit bring us joys beyond measure!
Collect
Almighty God, who shares your loving kindness through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Draw us into your presence; that we may experience the blessings of your divine nature, and live within the boundaries of your providence. In our Savior's name we pray. Amen.
Prayer of Confession
We enjoy our participation in the Christian faith, Father; for then we are most healthy in body, mind, and soul. But it is too easy for us to withdraw; and then we become weak. Forgive us when we have avoided your presence in our lives, resisting your grace and love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Restore us to wholeness in the security of your divine presence, that we may know the joy of being your children. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Father, in Whom We Live"
"Holy God, We Praise Thy Name"
"Holy, Holy, Holy"
"We Believe in One True God"

The great commission
Call to Worship
Pastor:
We are people who have been assigned to a great task by our Lord Jesus Christ.
People:
We are his church, and he has commissioned us to go to all people to make them disciples.
Pastor:
Our goal is to convince them of God's love, baptize them into the Christian faith, and teach them to live the Christian life.
People:
We strive toward that goal, because we know our Lord is with us all the time!
Collect
Great God, our Father, whose Son has commissioned us to go into our world to make disciples of all people: Guide and uphold us by your Spirit; that, strengthened for our task, we may be enabled to bear fruit in your kingdom. We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer of Confession
You have called us to be your children, Father; and we respond with faith. But when your Son commissions us to share our faith with others, we find reasons to wait. Forgive us for our resistance to be in mission, hindering the outreach of your church and the new life which could come to others. Remove our hesitancy, and inspire us for discipleship; that our Lord's presence may not be to observe our idleness, but to encourage our ministry. In our Savior's name we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Go, Make of All Disciples"
"Heralds of Christ"
"O Zion, Haste"
"We've a Story to Tell to the Nations"
