Leader: Behold the King of Glory waits.
People: We will enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.
Leader: It is good for us to be here.
People: Yes, for we would see Jesus, and behold his glory, the glory of the Father's only Son.
Invocation
We are grateful, Almighty God, that you have called us to come apart from the rush, the busyness, the clamor of our everyday world, and to be with you in this holy place. As we worship may we capture a greater vision, and commit ourselves enthusiastically to the tasks which you have chosen for us to do. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Confession
God, you speak to us in so many ways, but we are not listening because we hear only what we want to hear and listen only to those voices with which we agree. You show yourself to us in so many people, but we do not see because in our eyes these persons do not appear to be worthy. Cure our deafness and heal our blindness, we pray, that we may behold the glory of your love and hear the voice that will direct us in the path that leads to your kingdom. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Our Heavenly Father, as we behold your glory, made known to us through your Son, Jesus Christ, we humbly present these offerings that they might be a blessing to others even as you have blessed us. Amen.
