Series VI, Cycle A
Object:
Theme: Is God With Us?
Call To Worship
Leader: Come, God's people. Come with your difficulties.
People: We come with our troubles because this is a place of healing.
Leader: Come, too, with your successes.
People: We come with our joys for this is a place of celebration.
Leader: Come with your sins as well.
People: We come as we are for this is a place of forgiveness and hope.
All: Come, let us worship together!
Invocation
Lord, we have asked for, and received, our daily bread; feed us now with the Bread of heaven. We have asked for, and received, the water from the well; give us now the water that bubbles up from within, the water which flows to eternal life. Amen.
Confession
Almighty God, you have freed us from slavery to sin; you have led us through the wilderness of despair; you have faithfully provided for our daily needs. Yet we humbly confess that when things don't go exactly our way we feel you have deserted us. Forgive our faithlessness, O God, and help us to realize that it is we who so often have deserted you. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Almighty God, because we know that you are always with us, and that it is through us you plan to carry on the work of your kingdom here on earth that we present these offerings. Bless them, we pray, and bless the ministries of your Church as we strive to do your will. Amen.
Hymns
"Great Is Thy Faithfulness"
"Leaning On The Everlasting Arms"
"He Lives"
