Collect
In your name we pray, O Christ. We would stay centered on your person, your example, and your teachings. We would follow your way of life as best we can. We would be a community of believers who work together. For your sake. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
We can become so enthusiastic about the faith, O God, that zeal overtakes us. Teach us to release and abandon our own agendas that threaten to get in the way of deepening the community of believers. For the sake of Jesus. Amen.

Open our hearts, O God, to grow in understanding that this place is greater than one more organization to cubbyhole our time. Teach us how to be wholehearted Christians. Teach us how to follow Jesus. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
God, who asks us to drop everything and follow, we cannot just drop everything and follow. Will we be lesser Christians? We have families to feed. Too much to do. Cheer us to refrain from abandoning ourselves. Amen.
