Pastoral Prayers For All Seasons
When we were younger, O God, we could easily tell the difference between right and wrong. Or at least it seemed so. How many times we railed at the adult world, "It isn't fair," or "He cheated and you gave him the biggest piece anyway." We could spot injustice and cruelty a mile away, and we weren't fooled by a camouflage of adult words. Wrong was wrong and right was right.
Now we are adults and we no longer see things so clearly. Or is it that we can see the difference between right and wrong, but we don't want to acknowledge what we see?
