Meditations For The Lord's Supper
The apostle Paul never wrote anything for which I am more grateful than the words he penned in the seventh chapter of his Epistle to the Romans. I'm grateful because his words have all over them the odor of daily life, when the thrills and frills are all gone, and nothing is left but stern, tough reality.
Much of the New Testament calls us to the pursuit of lofty, noble standards and challenges us to strive for the highest and the best, to seek to fulfill all the potential that is within us. And I am thankful for those passages that inspire and pull us upward.
