The Story Of Ben Hur

Inspirational And Devotional Illustrations
Two friends met at the Union Train Terminal in Indianapolis, Indiana, years ago. They were businessman Robert Ingersoll and retired army general Lew Wallace. Ingersoll was surprised to learn that Wallace took Christianity seriously, since to him it was mere superstition. But he so challenged his retired friend about his faith that Wallace actually traveled to the Holy Land.
There he walked where Jesus walked and he lived again the scenes in the life of Christ. Upon his return home, he wrote Ben Hur. It is a famous story based on the life of Christ, lived out in a person's life. The story was a best seller many years ago, and has been produced in film and video.
This is a testimony of Lew Wallace: "As a result of my research, I became convinced that Jesus Christ was not only a Savior of not only the world but that he was my Savior, too, and being convinced I wrote Ben Hur."
It is a story worth your reading or viewing in the third millennium.
