SERMONS FOR ADVENT, CHRISTMAS AND EPIPHANY (SUNDAYS 1-8 IN ORDINARY TIME)
The giant steel doors swung shut and the doctor put his big key in the lock. The door was to keep people from coming inside the psychiatric ward, but it was also to keep those who were inside from getting out. A giant of a man, 245 pounds, six foot five inches, came dashing towards the doctor like some ballet dancer. Spinning up on his toes, he did a beautiful ballet butterfly twirl and in the process he dropped his baby rattle. The rattle went skidding across the waxed floor.
