On a wintry day we stopped at Ash Cave State Park in Hocking County, Ohio, to see an annual ice formation. Walking about a quarter of a mile we came to the largest open air cave in the Midwest. Before us was a huge icicle hanging down from the cliff above, almost touching the floor below. We went up closer to see and touch it, and it was wet. This icicle had been formed by one drop of water at a time from above. A small thing, one drop at a time, but look at what resulted!
