who enters our midst?"

The Crowd Makes Confession

your rule over us.

*Community Confession Of Faith:
P: As we have heard one man confess his faith in Christ,
let us now make public confession of our faith.
C: We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker
of Heaven and Earth, of all that is seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light,
true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the
Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our
salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy
Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made
man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he
suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in
accordance with the scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in
glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have
no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who
proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son
he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the
prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look
for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to
come. Amen.
*P: Having made our confession of faith, let us now turn to
God in prayer.
*Prayers Of The Church
P: King of Israel, you came to a people who knew you not;
C: We pray for all who do not know you.
P: Lord Almighty, you came gentle and humble, riding on a
donkey;
C: Help us to serve you in humility.
P: Blessed Savior, you came to all peoples to bring
salvation;
C: Pour out your Spirit on all nations of this earth.
P: Lord Jesus, you came to bear witness to the love and
grace of God;
C: Make us bold in our witness to others.
P: Gracious Healer, you came and touched lives with
health and wholeness;
C: We reach out to be healed by your hand.
P: We offer our prayers for this Holy Week journey;
C: Guide us each step of the way. Amen.
*P: As we approach the Cross of Christ and the glory
revealed at Easter, let us pray together the prayer our Lord
taught us to pray:
*The Lord's Prayer
Sent Forth To Confess Our Lord
*Benediction
P: Having confessed Jesus as Lord in our time of worship,
go forth to the highways and byways of your everyday lives
proclaiming him Lord in all you say and do. Sent forth by the
Spirit, share the good news. Go hailing your king, and his
blessings go with you. In the name of the Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen. Come with us, Lord Jesus!
