Stories And Humor For Inspired Preaching
The age-old expression "Good-Bye" seems to have fallen by the wayside. It really was a coined word: a shortened version of "God-be-with-you."
Even telephone conversations now often end with "Bye-Bye," or "So long," or "Be happy," or the popular "Have a nice day."
I prefer "See you later" for Christians. It is a fact, based on the Bible, that Christians never need to say "Good-Bye" as if they will never meet again. We believe that death does not end it all. Even in the glorious future we may meet again, "to know as we have been known" (1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV).
