CALL TO WORSHIP
Come to the Eternal One, who will keep you from all evil and preserve your life. God will keep your going out and your coming in from this time on and forevermore.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
World-loving Creator, Son-giving Parent, Life-giving Spirit, we confess our disbelief in the face of mysteries that we cannot explain. We fear and resist spiritual transformation as if you would change us beyond our own recognition. Though we cannot control the winds, we would attempt to program the Spirit. Forgive our doubts concerning your love, and our restrictions on your purpose for us in Jesus Christ. Amen.
DECLARATION OF GOD'S FORGIVENESS
Hear the Good News! Our faith in God, like Abraham's and Sarah's, is counted as righteousness, a matter of sheer grace. Friends, believe the Good News! In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
EXHORTATION
Do not be afraid of new experiences of God. Be enabled by them to go on as a more faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.
PRAYER OF THE DAY
Sovereign Spirit, so inspire us that the life within us may be holy as you are holy, and that being renewed from day to day what should die within us is replaced by what should be everlasting. Amen.
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
God of pilgrims we rejoice in your presence with your people. You have led our fathers and mothers on journeys out of idolatry, slavery, and religious oppression, to places of new insights, to time of further reformation, on missions of truth-sharing. We give thanks for the heritage of faith that is ours and for the riches of grace that are ours in Christ Jesus. As we share this heritage in our generation, bless all the families of the earth as you have blessed us, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
PRAYER OF DEDICATION
Not only in this sanctuary, but wherever we meet you in our experience, receive our offering of ourselves, God-above-all, that we may build altars there and serve others in your name. Amen.

I lift up my eyes to the hills - from where will my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
He will riot let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
