Lectionary Worship Aids
Series VII, Cycle C
Object:
Second Lesson: Philippians 3:17--4:1
Theme: Your Belly Or Your Life
Call To Worship
Adults: O God, in a dry and desolate land I thirst. I come to the waters of your presence.
Children: O God, I seek your face.
Collect
Gracious God, we come here freely, as your Son came freely for our salvation. Accept our lives in the spirit in which they are lived. Magnify our work for your kingdom a hundredfold as we seek to do your will in this world. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
What, Lord, can we give you that will compare to your bounty toward us? Even our prayer of thanksgiving is a prayer of your giving, for our words, our thoughts, and all that is best in us, is a gift from you. Grant our request in this time of giving that you will call us to servanthood, inspire us with vision, and magnify your generous Spirit in our actions. Amen.
Hymns
Blessed Assurance
Bread Of The World In Mercy Broken
Hark, The Voice Of Jesus Calling
