Henry Penn, the man who coined the phrase, "Say it with flowers,"told Dr. William Stidger this true story:
Two boys and a girl came into Penn's Flower Shop and said: "We're a committee, and we'd like to get some nice yellow flowers."
The florist showed them some inexpensive ones. "Do they have to be yellow?" he asked.
"Yes, sir. Mickey would like 'em better if they was yellow. He had a yellow sweater," one of the boys said.
"Are they for a funeral?" asked Mr. Penn. The boys nodded and the girl made an effort to hold back her tears.
