Theme: Another Chance
Call To Worship
Come, let us worship the Lord. Let us give thanks to God, for God has been good to us, and we are God's people. The Lord's name be praised!
Invocation
O Lord, our God, so often when our prayers are not answered the way we want or as quickly as we expect we are tempted to forsake you, like the Israelites of old. We thank you for being God of a second chance. Grant us in all our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would have us to do, that the spirit of wisdom may save us from all false choices, and that in your straight path we may not stumble; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Confession
Almighty God, you have given us life, but we have not lived. We have been called to freedom, but we have found the burden heavy, the anxiety painful. In fear and pride we have turned from you, O God, to live in self-deceit and to serve other lords. We admit our willfulness and our weakness in denying you. Cleanse us from our sins, Father, and create in us clean hearts that we may follow you faithfully all your days. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we come to you with thankful and grateful hearts because we know that you never stop loving us no matter how wayward we become. Accept these offerings as an expression of our gratitude and use them that others may know of your great love. Amen.
Hymns
"Depth Of Mercy"
"Forgive Our Sins As We Forgive"
"There's A Wideness In God's Mercy"
