Call To Worship
Leader: Praise be to the Lord for God has been merciful and gracious unto us!
People: God has watched over us in all that we have done or been about.
Leader: The Lord is true and faithful now and in eternity.
People: The Word of the Lord stands true and enlightens or condemns us.
Leader: Then let us be enlightened as we hear God's holy words of life.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
O God, before the temple was ever built You showed us that Your glory could not be confined to a building or a location, but it shone forth best in the hearts of Your people. Shine forth in us, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
O Lord, so often when we think of You as Holy we think only of You as meeting us in the buildings where we worship or in those special places and times when we experience Your presence in an extraordinary way. Too often, Lord, we forget You walk with us in every moment of every day and You promised our hearts would become Your new temple. Forgive us, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"I Stand Amazed In The Presence"
"Be Thou My Vision"
"Abide With Me"

Sunday between July 17 and July 23 inclusive
Second Lesson: Ephesians 2:11-22

Call To Worship
Leader: Let the hills ring out with the sounds of praise to the Lord!
People: But who is worthy to enter God's house and to sing God's praise?
Leader: Only those pure in heart and deed who do not worship idols.
People: But we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Leader: Yet in Christ we are all washed clean and called to worship God.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
Almighty and gracious God, in Your mercy You have made it possible for all peoples of every land to be members of Your Kingdom. We praise You, O Lord, for saving even we who were once lost. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we've allowed ourselves to think we are Your only children. Too often we have chosen to ignore the cries of others as we focus on our own needs. And too often we have failed to see Your Love is meant to be shared with all around us, even with those we feel are strange or different. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to open our hearts to others. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"When We All Get To Heaven"
"Sing With All The Saints In Glory"
"Rejoice, The Lord Is King"

People: Christ is our hope and salvation; let us bring to the Lord every need.
Leader: For it is God who sustains us and protects us from all enemies.
People: And it is the Lord who has healed us and calls us to share eternity.
Leader: Truly our God is most wonderful, extending to us mercy and grace.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
Most wonderful and gracious Lord, as You walked among us You demonstrated time and again Your love for us and Your willingness to heal our every malady. Help us, Lord, to accept Your love. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, again and again the only opportunities we have taken to share time with You in prayer have been in times of crisis or great need. Too few times, Lord, have we come before You just to thank You honestly for the wonderful blessings You have given us in the everyday events of our lives. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to see all the ways You touch our lives. In Christ we pray. Amen.
