Prayers for all occasions
Teach us to know your patience, O God, and to trust
your deliverance.
May nothing in this life keep us from believing in
your saving, steadfast love.
May nothing enslave our spirit of hope:
not pain or persecution;
not suffering and disease;
not separation or divorce;
not the loss of loved ones;
not even the imminence of our own death.
May nothing on earth nor anything in our imaginations
keep us from the confidence of our faith in your
goodness.
Set our feet on solid ground, O God.
