Calls To Worship And Other Worship Resources
Pastor: Are you pleased with the way your life has gone, so far?
People: Some of us are quite happy with the way things have turned out. And some of us ache for portions of our lives to be different.
Pastor: All of us, whether anxious or satisfied about our years, have those areas where sin has turned us aside from our best selves, caused pain we regret, or wasted time and resources that could have been rewarding elsewhere.
People: But what's done is done. Nothing can be recalled. How does it go: "There's no use crying over spilt milk"? But we do cry at times, in our secret moments.
Pastor: Then hear the glorious good news: We can be transformed in Jesus Christ. Wherever we are on the journey, we can have a new life. As we come to worship this morning, I invite you to contemplate how your life might be different, what the Lord could do with your life if you were fully committed to Him, and how, in Christ, your past may become fertile ground for blossoms, fragrant and beautiful, that are yet to come.
Hymn: "In His Time"
Invocation
