It's an old one and variously told. But, a woman entered a
room in a Washington, D.C. hotel and found there was a man whom
she recognized as a well-known government official. He was pacing
up and down and she asked him what he was doing there. "I am
going to deliver a speech," he said.
"Do you usually get very nervous before addressing a large
audience?"
"Nervous?" he replied. "No, I never get nervous."
"In that case," demanded the lady, "what are you doing in the
Ladies Room?"
