People: And greatly to be praised by all who know the joy of God's grace.
Leader: God is our sustainer and provider and touches our lives every day.
People: In Christ we have been called to be numbered among the children of God.
Leader: Let us worship and give praise to our loving and merciful God!
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
Almighty God, Creator of the Universe, in Your infinite love You have sustained Your faithful servants throughout the ages. Sustain us, Lord, as we carry the Gospel of Christ to the world. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, at times we have been very slow to acknowledge that it is You who sustains our lives and not our own labors or even the wealth of the world around us. It is by Your hand that the sun shines, the wind blows, and the rains are plenty. Yet too often we think it is only by our own efforts and wisdom that we have food. Forgive us, Lord, and help us celebrate Your love. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"His Eye Is On The Sparrow"
"Hymn Of Promise"
"Praise Him, Praise Him"
Proper 5
Sunday between June 5 and June 11 inclusive
Second Lesson: Galatians 1:11-24

People: Even when we were yet sinners and rebelling against God, we were loved.
Leader: And through Christ, the love of God has transformed our hearts.
People: As once we rebelled, we now join the celebration of God's wonderful love.
Leader: The change in our hearts gives glorious witness that the Gospel is true.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
Almighty God, we celebrate the way in which You firmly but gently change each heart and move us ever closer to the ways of Christ. We praise You and openly give You our faith and love. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we have failed to realize the wonderful ways You use our lives as living witnesses to Your Gospel. We have felt that it is only our words that tell of Christ, and we have failed to see that each time we allow Your love to flow through us to touch others our testimony has been real. Forgive us, Lord, and help us be more faithful followers. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Love Lifted Me"
"Blessed Assurance"
"Jesus Paid It All"
Proper 5
Sunday between June 5 and June 11 inclusive
Gospel: Luke 7:11-17
Theme: Christ who conquers even death
Call To Worship
Leader: Let us lift our voices in praise and worship before the Lord!
People: We worship and praise the Lord of the living and not of the dead.
Leader: For in Christ death has lost its sting, and we will not be afraid.
People: Jesus raised the dead and gives eternal life to all who believe.
Leader: Truly let us sing praise for the mercy and glory of God's love.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
Most wonderful Lord and Savior, You are the Almighty One and even death must bow to Your will. Give us the faith to stand firm as Your people for the world to see even in the face of death. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we tend to hear only the words of fear and death around us, and we do not proclaim Your truth. Too often we fear the pain and rejection of the world and forget that those who do Your will are promised eternity. Open our spirits, Lord, and help us keep our focus on You so that we might stand firm and give witness to Your eternal life. In Christ we pray. Amen.
