LITANY FOR CHURCH LEADERS
Church Leaders
Praise the Lord
Litanies, Prayers, And Occasional Services
Object:
Leader: You have called each of us to be partners with you in building up your church, O Christ. You have given us each gifts according to our abilities. We praise you now that together we have brought our gifts for your use in your church. We thank you for those who have been called to the ministry of your Word, that they might read and study it for themselves that they might faithfully impart it to those who would hear.
People: Let your Word be light to their feet and a lantern on their path.
Leader: We praise you for those who use their gift of music and song to give glory to your name.
People: Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing, make music and rejoice.
Leader: We give thanks for those whose ministry gives care and support to those in need.
People: Praise God who is our refuge and strength.
Leader: We give glory to you for those whose witness brings others to know you, whose mission field is the world outside our doors.
People: Praise God who keeps the promise and is with us wherever we go.
Leader: Accept our thanks for those whose ministry is the care of the property that provides a place for worship, fellowship, and service.
People: Praise God that our labor is not in vain.
Leader: Thank you, Lord, for all who in their own way use the gifts you have given, quietly, for the sake of your church.
People: Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
