O God, we come together this morning seeking to know your will for us. Speak to us through your Word and Spirit so that we may hear and respond to your call. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, we know that we are accountable for all that we do, and we confess that having heard your Word we often fail to show by our actions that we know your will for our lives. By your mercy forgive us, we pray, and enable us to live our lives in the spirit of your love. Amen.

Call To Worship
Leader: The Lord has set his people free.
People: Holy and mighty is our God.
Leader: The way to become wise is to honor the Lord.
People: God gives sound judgment to all who obey his commands.
Collect
Lord, we give you thanks this morning for all those who have faithfully passed on your teachings across the years. Because we have learned from them we know that to truly love our neighbors we have a responsibility to so live our lives that we put no obstacles in the way of showing forth your love to all. May this time of worship renew our determination to bear a faithful witness to that love made known to us in Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, we have tried to show others how much knowledge we have about you and your will for all humankind, and it has made us feel puffed up and superior to others. We know better, for we have learned that we are called to show others how much you love them by the way we love them, too. Be merciful to us, we pray, and by your Spirit may we truly show forth your love by loving our neighbors as you would have us do. Amen.
Hymns

Collect
O Lord, we know that you have made yourself known to us through your Son, Jesus Christ. Speak to us this morning through his teachings that we might learn your ways, and through your Holy Spirit give us power to so govern our lives that they may be pleasing in your sight. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Heavenly Father, the demons of hate, selfishness, pride, greed, and prejudice seem to take control of our lives. Come to us, we pray, through the power of your Holy Spirit, and cast out these demons by filling us with the love shown to us by your Son, Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.
