In your wisdom you made us one family, dear God, and then scattered us far from one another. Now you have brought us together and we rejoice in the presence of each member of our family.
Since we last met some have been called to your side. Although we feel their loss, we rejoice because they are safe in your care. We rejoice, too, for the new lives that have been added to our number, for the babies that so visibly tell of your love.
