THE WONDER OF WORDS: BOOK 2
ONE-HUNDRED MORE WORDS AND PHRASES SHAPING HOW CHRISTIANS THINK AND LIVE
"Born to lose" were the words tattooed on the back of the young man's hand. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale pondered how that slogan must have also been tattooed on the mind of the young man who helped him down the steps from the stage in a large auditorium where Dr. Peale had spoken. At the bottom of the steps stood a pretty young woman who said, "Dr. Peale, I'm a nobody, but I just wanted to meet you." Those two persons are typical of many who are plagued by feelings of low self-esteem. The word esteem comes from the Latin word "aestimare" which means to value.
