Call To Worship
Leader: Nations shall come to Christ's light,
People: and kings to the brightness of his dawn.
Leader: They shall bring gold and frankincense,
People: and shall proclaim the praise of the Lord.
Leader: In our worship let us open our hearts to the Light of the World.
People: We too will praise the Lord, and expose our lives to the brightness of his dawn.
Invocation
Everlasting God, who brought the nations to your light, fill the world with your brightness, and make yourself known to every nation; through Jesus Christ, the true light, your Son and our Lord. Amen.
Confession
Lord, we know that you are continually trying to manifest yourself to us, but because we fail to see any bright lights in the sky guiding us or hear any angels speaking to us, we often think we walk alone with no one to give us direction. Forgive our shortsightedness and lack of faith. Speak to us once again in this time of worship that we may let our lights shine and give you the glory. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, we thank you for the manifestation of your Christ among us, and for the life which he gives. We thank you for the sense of journey and adventure that comes when, like the Magi, we ride into the dark night following a star. Like those Wise Men of old we lay our gifts at your feet in adoration and praise. Amen.
