Another story that has several versions is the one about the
modern miracle of transforming water into wine. My version has it
that an American was trying to smuggle some tequila from Mexico
into the U.S. He had it in a large thermos. The customs man asked
what was in it. He replied, "Just cold water for our journey."
The suspicious customs man opened it, smelled it, and then tasted
it. "Sir, this is tequila," he said. And the man replied, "The
Lord's done it again -- a modern miracle!"
