Object:
Theme: Gratitude
Call To Worship
Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord!
People: Come into his presence with singing!
Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving!
People: Give thanks to him, bless his name!
Leader: For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever.
People: And his faithfulness to all generations.
Invocation
Most Gracious God, by whose appointment the seasons come and go, and who makes the fruits of the earth to provide for the needs of your children: we offer you our thanksgiving that you have brought us through the circuit of another year, and that according to your promise seedtime and harvest have not failed. Remembering your bounty we offer you the sacrifice of our thanksgiving, and pray that you will feed our souls with the Bread of Life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Confession
Almighty God, you know how many of us receive your blessings, and how few of us give you thanks and praise. Forgive us, Lord, and make our hearts more sensitive to your bountiful mercies. Especially when you bless us through the ministries of others, help us to be more grateful, more thankful. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O Lord Christ, who taught that it is more blessed to give than to receive, and whose personal example was one of self-denial and sacrifice, inspire us to be generous and loving, seeking the welfare of others for your sake. In that spirit accept these gifts we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"We Gather Together"
"Now Thank We All Our God"
"For The Beauty Of The Earth"
