Theme: I Hear!
Call To Worship
Leader: Can you hear the Spirit of God when the wind whispers? When it blusters? What sort of wind do you need for God to gain your attention? In order to comprehend God's reality? What language reaches your heart?
People: If we are to communicate as Christians, first we must hear the Spirit of God. We trust the Holy Spirit to blow without understanding from where it comes or to where it blows.
All: Like wind across the plain -- silent until it flutes past our ears, transparent until it presses against us -- your Spirit shows itself, O Sustainer. Amen.
Collect
We see from Pentecost, O God, that you want to connect with us. Sharpen our souls to hear you. Quicken our awareness of the softest breeze of your spirit. Through the risen Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Quiet the inner babble that prevents us from hearing the language of others. Attune the song of our soul to harmonize with your song, Savior God. Amen.
