During a politican campaign, we often feel that we have heard the last word on some subjects. Often we wish it were the last word! Sometimes candidates speak so often on one subject that they seem to "turn people off."
In a like manner, Jesus might be accused of being a Johnny One Note. When one looks at the gospels, the one subject on which he spoke more than any other was our relationship to our possessions and money. As he conducted his campaign, we find that more than 30 percent of his recorded discourses deal with possessions and money matters.
