Why Didn't Noah Swat Both Mosquitoes?
Plus Other Humorous Stories For Clergy
Some years ago I was speaking in Columbia, South Carolina, at
a state-wide Youth Day. The morning session was at the Washington
Street Methodist Church. The evening session was at the First
Baptist Church which seated 1,500, considerably more than the
other church, and it was filled. As I sat on the platform in the
ante-bellum church built in the early 1800s, the chairman told me
that I would be standing as I spoke, on the spot where the papers
of secession for South Carolina were signed in 1861, leading to
the Civil War.
