The sign in the window...

The sign in the window read, "Under New Management." A customer came in and asked, "What's the idea? You're the same guy who's been running this store for years." The manager smiled and replied, "I know. I got married again." Everyone is a manager. A housewife manages her house and her family. A salesman manages the sale of a product to his customers. A teacher manages the education of students. Persons in the medical field manage the health needs of patients.
Paul understood evil as a kind of mismanagement: "Sin resulted in death for me by making use of this good thing (Romans 7:13, Moffatt)." The good thing to which Paul referred was the Law of God expressed in the Ten Commandments. On the other hand, living the Christian life means living "Under New Management." In the Revelation of Christ to John, God spoke about himself in this way: "Lo, I make all things new (Revelation 21:5)."
