Words have power. Words of forgiveness have the power to forgive. With forgiveness there is freedom, as the slave in Jesus' parable learned at first. The words of Emily Dickinson ring true: "A word is dead when it is said, some say. I say it just begins to live that day." How it remains alive -- if it remains alive -- should be the concern of the slave and every Christian.
