A woman who had sat in the pew for six months listening to the volunteer parish choir stumble along without adequate soprano support finally joined the singing group. She had an overpowering voice. The members of the choir were overjoyed to have her --for about three weeks. Then they began to grumble. Nobody could any longer hear themselves sing. All they heard was her. All efforts to persuade her she should blend in were fruitless. In due time she came to the conclusion she was unappreciated. Not only did she drop out of choir, she stopped coming to church as well.
